Gentle, quiet Anna was very special. She had to be revived when she was born and as a result, suffered some slight brain damage so never was she a show dog though she was a beautiful boxer girl! As a little puppy, Anna stole my then 11 year old son's heart and so she became my son's faithful friend and very spoiled companion. Anna even slept in bed with him every night until he went off to college and, when he would come home for a visit, she would always get so excited to see him! Never did she greet anyone they way she greeted my son - there was no doubt she knew he was her boy! Anna spent more than 10 wonderful years in our home and as a loved member of our family. She was a gentle, quiet boxer and enjoyed more than anything else to laze in her favorite chair or in front of our wood stove in the winter. In the Fall of 2006, Anna developed Degenerative Myelopathy and sadly, the time eventually and too soon came where it was only fair to let her go. My son came home from college the weekend prior to say his goodbyes to his baby girl and Anna slept in bed with him one last time. We miss you Anna, truly you touched our lives and our hearts with your sweet nature and your tender innocence - it is no wonder that everyone who had the chance to meet you always fell in love with you...
