Lost to Degenerative Myelopathy

Beautiful Molly. She was the foundation of my breeding and I was very fortunate to have been so blessed to have shared my life with her. She was gentle, sweet, and so innocent. Molly was always the good girl, never in trouble and always by your side looking up at you with her big brown engaging eyes. She was so maternal, so loving and so wanting to always please. She was perfect.

Sweet Molly. Mother of two champions and grandmother of three champions. Her legacy continues in her great grand puppies who run and play in the yard Molly played in as a puppy. Undoubtedly, Molly’s spirit is running along side of them playing, barking and keeping them in line.

Thank you my dearest Molly, you were an angel long before you left me...

Molly's life was stolen away by a cruel but common condition that affects boxers called Degenerative Myelopathy.  The picture above was taken the same day myself and Molly's other mom, Laura Smith, let her go.  Molly was loved and cared for by the Smith family for the last 4 years of her life.  The day we said goodbye to Molly, she was of sound mind and in no pain but her body was failing her and her dignity was fading fast.  My vet was kind enough to come to my house as we set her spirit free.  Her grandpuppies, her legacy, could be heard barking and playing in the background.  It was a perfect lovely spring morning flooded with the melodic sounds of singing birds, or it would have been perfect had we not been saying goodbye to a beautiful boxer girl.  Laura and I sat in the thick green grass of my yard and tenderly held Molly as she left this life for the next.  It was peaceful and, although it was right, it was so terribly heartbreaking.  Laura and I held Molly and cried together, Molly was truly loved and is terribly missed.  Rest well Molly Girl, we'll meet you at the Bridge...
